Saving Grace Virtual Book Tour + Win Kindle Fire HD

At the end of a long day, there's nothing I enjoy more than curling up with a cup of hot tea and a good book.  When I read, I often choose a book that takes me away to some exotic destination.  I may be sitting inside staring at two feet of snow out my window but that doesn't mean I can't pretend I'm on a tropical island somewhere.

Saving Grace is a book that will allow you to do just that.  Katie Connell is a Texas attorney who tries to escape the problems in her life on the tropical island of San Marcos.  Her heart is broken and she's humiliated professionally.  She visits the island of San Marcos to investigate the suspicious deaths of her parents. Things aren't all wonderful on San Marcos for Katie though.  She is bewitched by the voodoo spirit and falls in love with an abandoned, reportedly haunted, rain forest house that she decides to buy and fix up. She doesn't manage to escape her law career on San Marcos either.  She ends up having to defend her new friend, Ava, who is accused of murdering a married senator.

I really love that Saving Grace is not only a thriller but that there is also a touch of romance and a lot of adventure.  Katie is easy to like even though she definitely doesn't always make the best choices in her life. She's totally believable as a character and fun to read about. She's one of those women that just makes you shake your head and wonder what they were thinking. Saving Grace is a wonderful escape from the winter weather in Vermont right now and a great way to pass several hours.  I had a hard time putting it down!
