How to save money on your manicures

I absolutely love the way my nails look after a manicure and polish at the salon but I needed to learn how to save money on your manicures. My salon gel manicure was costing me $40 a month before I learned how to do manicures at home.

  1. Invest in a set of metal manicure tools and always make sure that they are clean before you begin.
  2. Use a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remove to ensure all the polish is off your nails.
  3. File your nails with an emery board or metal nail file.
  4. Soften your cuticles with cuticle oil for a minute and very gently push back with a cuticle tool.
  5. Wash your hands thoroughly with exfoliating soap and warm water and dry.
  6. Massage lotion on your hands & use nail polish remove to remove any lotion that got on your nails.
  7. Use Dazzle Dry Nail Prep which promotes adhesion of the polish to your nail and strengthens your nails.
  8. Apply a Dazzle Dry Base Coat.  The Dazzle Dry Base Coat is a clear coat of polish that goes on before the lacquer.
  9. Apply one coat of Dazzle Dry Nail Lacquer.  Allow to dry and then apply a second coat for a richer color coverage.
  10. At this point you have a bit of flexibility.  You can add a coat of Glitter or a Lace coat to crack the finish of your polish.  Or, you can simply finish off your manicure with a top coat of clear polish to help prevent chipping.

Dazzle Dry manicures

Dazzle Dry is a nail lacquer that's made with a vegan free formula.  Dazzle Dry manicures are formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP, Camphor and Nitrocellulose-Free. Unlike many traditional polishes, Dazzle Dry strengthens your natural nails.  You end up with a high gloss that is non-yellowing to your nails. You need no UV lamp to apply.  It removes just like regular polish but it dries rock hard in 5 minutes and stays chip free for up to 4 weeks.  It really does last just as well as my gel polish when I follow these steps and it's much more affordable.

  5. How does the vegan polish wear compared to regular polish? Does it stay on as long?
