Healthy Skin Care Tips
As I get older, I am always searching for healthy skin care tips that I can use to help keep my aging skin looking healthy and vibrant. Your skin is the largest organ in your body so it only makes sense to do what you can to keep it in the best possible condition. A few of my favorite healthy skin care tips are:- Drink a lot of water to eliminate impurities from your body.
- Cleanse your skin daily to remove oil and dirt from the surface of your skin and your pores.
- Exfoliate your skin to remove dead skin cells and encourage blood flow to your skin.
- Tone and freshen your skin to refine your pores and condition your skin.
- Moisturize your skin to keep it looking smooth and radiant.
Skin Care Routine
All skin, even oily skin, needs a hydrating moisturizer to keep it healthy. The right level of moisture is the key to health, vibrant skin. When I moisturize my skin, I enjoy using moisturizers that have plant based ingredients. Plant based ingredients are rich in vitamins, antioxidants and nutrients. They provide the perfect materials to help my skin without the need for harsh chemicals.
Lemon Verbena Body Cream with Shea Butter and Marshmallow from Alchemilla is hand crafted in small patches using minimally processed ingredients. Ingredients include organic vegetable oils, natural waxes, pure essential oils, and plants and flowers from their own her garden. The lemon verbena scent really helps me feel invigorated and energized so it's just what I like to use first thing in the morning after my shower.
This body cream from Alchemilla is infused with extracts of lemon verbena, marshmallow, rose and calendula to help soothe and condition the skin. It also contains sunflower, honeysuckle, and lavender. These ingredients combine for a wonderful fresh scent that is great for men or women. It really lives my skin feeling hydrated and healthy and will be perfect this winter when my skin dries out from our wood heat.
