Money Saving Beauty Tips

Money Saving Beauty Tips

As much as I'd love to have an unlimited budget for cosmetics and beauty products, I need to be aware of money saving beauty tips.   Using a few simple tips and tricks lets me make the most of the money that I do have to spend.

Before you rush off to purchase a new eye shadow or another bottle of foundation, use up what you already have.  Is your pink eye shadow a bit too pink? How about mixing it with silver or white to tone it down a bit? Check your cupboards and cabinets and make sure you don't already have something that will work.

Chose a less expensive brand over the one you're currently using. Some less expensive brands really are just as good as their more expensive alternatives. Try choosing one less expensive alternative and see if it works just as well for you as your existing brand.

Buy in bulk when possible.  While this probably won't work for eye shadow or mascara, you can certainly save money this way with body lotion and bubble bath.

Shop with coupons when you do purchase new products.  I always try to match coupons and sales when buying new make up and beauty products. Even better, use a rewards card with your purchase to rack up points and money saving offers.

Use less and don't leave any behind.  Some bottles and containers can make it difficult to get out the last bit when you're almost done with it.  I hate buying a good quality cream or foundation and then not being able to get every bit out of the bottle.

Consumer Inspired Products offers an Every Drop Beauty Spatula that will help get the last 20% of product from cosmetic bottles.  This spatula has a flexible tip that makes it perfect to retrieve all usable product from any sized or shaped bottle.  It reaches way down into the bottom of the bottle as well as up under those hard to get at shoulders of bottles. Best of all, it doesn't absorb the product like a cotton swab will.

Not only can the Every Drop Beauty Spatula help get product out of an almost empty bottle, it can also be used as an applicator instead of your fingertips.  Using your fingers in cosmetic containers can allow bacteria to enter the product.  The Beauty Spatula is washable and reusable and can be used for serums, creams, lotions, lipstick, foundation, tanning products, whitening products, hair gel and hair treatment.

If you're looking for money saving beauty tips, invest in a Every Drop Beauty Spatula.  This is such an easy way to get more out of your existing beauty products.  They are available at retail stores including CVS.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog.
